Don't be misled by this. If you read the article, they agree that lowering LDL's is a good idea. But LDL's are the place that the toxic amino acid Homocysteine is hiding. Thus, what is really important is lowering your homocysteines, and that can be done with homocysteine blocker VITAMIN formulas. But the drug companies don't make money keeping you well.

What's New With Dr. Press?

Formation of the ISCC

In recent news, around 2005, Dr. Tom Hyde, formerly Secretary-General of FICS, (which Dr. Press founded in 1987), asked Dr. Press to become involved in the formation of a commission to advise the World Olympian's Association regarding the role and involvement of Chiropractic. This stemmed from an apparent dropping of the ball by the Board of FICS. Dr. Press agreed, and together they set up the International Sports Chiropractic Commission (ISCC-sport.org), to accomplish these goals, and hopefully interact with FICS as well as the WOA. Dr. Dale Richardson of Australia was co-opted by the duo to serve as Secretary-General of the new entity, and they began arranging for DC's to attend the Olympic Games, and regional events sponsored by the IOC.

In 2007, Dr. Hyde decided to retire from such ventures and a host of new Board Members were recruited to continue this work. Drs Hyde and Press became "Advisors" on the Board of Directors of the ISCC. The work of the ISCC has been augmented with the election of a new President for the WOA, who, as are most Olympic Athletes, very pro Chiropractic. The WOA, it must be recalled told the IOC at their meeting in Athens, just prior to the Athens Games that they "wanted DC's at all Olympic events, in the polyclinic". During the same period, the FICS' President, Dr. Roland Noirat in Lausanne, Switzerland, has obtained a lease for FICS' headquarters, in the new building, recently constructed by a collaboration of the IOC and the City of Lausanne for the purpose of housing all the Sport's World Governing Bodies' headquarters. A result of their support is the fact that the IOC has capitulated, and there will be DC's for the first time officially in the Polyclinic at the Olympic Games in Vancouver. Thus the only "glass ceiling" left for Chiropractic in Sport, remains either the formation of an IOC Sports Chiropractic Commission, or the inclusion of DC's in the IOC Sports Medicine Committee.
